Project purpose
“To support employment-friendly growth by developing endogenous potential as part of a territorial strategy for certain areas, including the reconversion of declining industrial regions, as well as increasing accessibility and developing specific natural and cultural resources”.
Specific objectives
The general objective of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the tourist resort and extend the average length of stay by DEVELOPING THE TOURIST AND TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE BAIA DE FIER RESORT.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- Modernization of the tourist infrastructure of Baia de Fier resort through the creation of a cycle tourism track with different levels of difficulty;
- Development of a dendrological park in the area adjacent to the exit of the Muierilor Cave and facilities in the areas adjacent to the exit and entrance of the Muierilor Cave, intended for relaxation, recreation, physical movement, cultural/social events, walks, crafts, traditional products, etc.;
- Increase the average number of employees in Baia de Fier Commune (tourist resort) by at least 15% after project implementation;
- Increase the number of tourists by 22% in the next 5 years.
Results
Length / surface area of the built bike path: 7,712 km / 7.712 sqm
Area of green space developed: 30.738 sqm
Length/surface area of footpaths built: 7,712 km and 7712 sqm
Area of recreation/leisure infrastructure created: 2714,5 sqm
Surface area of recreation and rest areas created: 50.05 sqm
Total value – broken down into EU and national contribution
The total value of the project is 22.558.332,27 lei, of which the non-reimbursable financing is 21.908.111,18 lei and the amount of the own contribution is 650.221,09 lei.
